Sarah Sabo

Accountant/Owner

Sarah opened Aries Accounting in 2009 with only a handful of clients and operated out of an office in her basement. Since then, the company has grown and gone remote. Sarah enjoys walking and hiking with her dog, Kobe, playing with her two cats, adopted in December 2023, and trying to avoid being bit by her rabbit!

Shannon

Bookkeeper/Administration Officer

Shannon became an integral part of Aries Accounting in 2019 and her vast bookkeeping abilities allow us to provide full-service accounting to our clients. Shannon and her family are heavily involved with BC Ringette. With two teenage daughters that play and a husband that coaches and referees, they are often at the rinks.

Sherry Foster

Accounting Technician

Sherry joined Aries in November 2021 as an Accounting Technician. Her experience in public practice and knowledge of corporate year-ends and personal tax returns are great assets. Sherry loves music and concerts; If she isn’t working, she is probably at a concert or in Las Vegas!

Karen

Accounting Technician

Karen joined the Aries team in August 2023. Karen lives in a rural community near Edmonton, Alberta and has a large property where she breeds, trains, and boards horses. Karen has worked with a Tax Software company for many years fielding client calls and has extensive personal tax knowledge.

Kobe

Chief Cheer Officer

Kobe joined the Aries team in Sept 2019. Kobe is a purebred Akita that loves early morning walks, chewing on large bones, and napping. He is very friendly and likes small to medium sized dogs. He does not like Boxers, Doberman Pinchers, or Pit Bulls so we steer clear of those kinds of dogs. He will be 5 years old in April 2024.

Aries In The Community

Sarah is currently the Treasurer of the Lakeview Heights Community Association. Founded in 1990, the LVHCA are neighbours who work together to enhance, maintain, and protect the quality of life for Lakeview Heights, West Kelowna residents. Aries Accounting is also a Corporate Sponsor.

Sarah was the Treasurer of the Greater Westside Board of Trade for four years from 2019 through 2022. She currently volunteers with the Chapter, assisting with Events and other projects.

The Greater Westside Board of Trade is the voice of business that advocates for all levels of government. It offers member-to-member trade discounts, networking opportunities, and promotional opportunities to all business sectors.

Sarah served on the Executive of the CMA Okanagan Chapter from 2010 to 2016. In June 2015, the Chartered Professional Accountants Act came into force. This was a long process that took years of planning, with the intent of unifying the three professional accounting bodies in BC (CA, CMA, and CGA designations).
